I envision a world where birth is met with presence, understanding, and respect, where each story matters, inner strength is nurtured, and the path into parenthood is honored in all its complexity.
I didn't always know what a doula was, until I had one. My own pregnancy and birth changed everything. I experienced firsthand how powerful it is to feel supported, heard, and truly held during such a vulnerable time. That kind of care made all the difference, and it awakened something in me.
Now I walk alongside others so they can feel grounded, informed, and never alone as they move through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
My work lives at the intersection of stewardship and artistry — grounded support and honest images that reflect the real story of your birth.
My story
Picture This Birth began long before it had a name
Before motherhood, I was drawn to documentary-style photography for the way it captures life with honesty, emotion, and permanence. When I discovered birth photography, something clicked. I recognized the same qualities that had always moved me most: rawness, beauty, truth, and a timeless sense of feeling.
As I came closer to the birth world, I understood that birth is not only worth documenting, but deserves deep, steady care. Doula work awakened something deeper in me: the desire to offer presence, calm, and wholehearted support during a moment that asks so much of a person.
Today, Picture This Birth brings together ethical, client-centered doula care and meaningful photography, to help families feel informed, seen, and deeply respected through birth and early parenthood.
