Dress appropriately for court. Business casual attire shows respect for the court. Avoid jeans, shorts, t-shirts, or revealing clothing.
Arrive early. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled court time to allow for security screening and finding the right courtroom.
Bring all necessary documents, including your bail paperwork, any court orders, and identification.
Be respectful to everyone in the courthouse, including staff, security, and other defendants. Address the judge as 'Your Honor.'
Turn off your cell phone before entering the courtroom. Electronic devices can result in contempt of court charges.
